We always visit in autumn and have found the solitude wonderful. I would like to visit in the summer, but I don't want to deal with the large crowds. Which of the summer months is the least crowded.

Also remember that it is totally different during the week compared to the weekends. I would have to say May and June as well.

I was there last year the first week in June... during the week it was very quite.
